Hot Air Pencil

The hot air pencil removes pressure sensitive adhesive tape (a.k.a. Scotch tape) from paper. Chiefly used in the construction of computer chips, this tool softens the tape so that it can be lifted away from an item with a microspatula or scalpel. By the way, tape is anathema to people who care about books and manuscripts. It is very difficult to remove, it stains, and its awful effects are tricky to undo. If you care about an item, do not put tape on it!
