General

This site is a digital complement to the physical exhibition, All the Hoos in Hooville, displayed at the University of Virginia Library’s Special Collections department in Alderman Library from June through October 1999. The exhibition was co-curated by Ann Southwell and Jeanne Pardee. The site is housed at the University of Virginia.
 The site contains images of original letters, photographs, newspapers, and a variety of printed material and ephemera. The site has been created to enable public access to these materials in support of teaching, research, and scholarship. Educational institutions or affiliated individuals, school teachers, news organizations, and members of the public are all welcome to link to individual images or other content posted on the site and to download selected material for the above-authorized purposes.
