Libra Repository

It is the purview of the Library to collect and preserve the output of University of Virginia scholars. Now, as the products of academe are born digital or reformatted to a digital state, the Library must engage in the caretaking of digital objects. The tool for the job is called a repository—an organized and well-managed electronic storehouse of particular forms of digital content

The specific repository for UVa scholarship is called Libra.

“Libra is the University of Virginia’s institutional repository, the online archive of scholarship created by the University community. Libra makes publications available to the world and provides safe and secure storage for scholarly output of the UVA community. Three types of content can be submitted to Libra: open access works, electronic theses and dissertations, and datasets.”
