Floating in a sea of parking spaces, the space-age University Hall athletic complex was built within a decade of U.Va. joining the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). With its innovative structural system, UHall’s dome offered a suitable setting for the drama of collegiate athletics until the John Paul Jones Arena was built across the street in 2006.
