So many layers of history and the stories of so many people are contained within the soil at Flowerdew Hundred. A complete discussion would cover 10,000 years of history and over 70 different excavations across 1,400 acres. In order to provide an in-depth look at how archaeological investigations here have illuminated the past, this exhibition focuses on four sites up through 1650--and the people who inhabited them.

The artifacts in the exhibition were excavated at Flowerdew Hundred and are from the Flowerdew Hundred Collection, University of Virginia, unless otherwise noted.
